First thing First

Book your cab / scooty to explore

Below records are as per Feb 2023
Cab can cost you upto Rs. 3000 for major places in two days. Be careful while discussing with the cab drivers, clear each and every point like..
1. what places they will cover
2. is there any time constraints
3. Parking and other charges, (we haven't paid any thing extra )

Cab drivers usually takes you to some govt. shops they get gifts from them for that, if interested you can help and check out. No one will push to purchase you anything

For Scooty, it will cost you around 400 to 600 per day excluding petrol, you can negotiate for the price.

If you enjoy bike ride and don't have much problem with heat waves, We will suggest just go for Scooty. Cab is charging more for waiting time than travelling..

Day 1

Pink City

Whole Jaipur is not a pink city as we usually think of, its only the particular area where all the old building you find know as pink city, not sure of the area as per our driver its in 7 Km radius

1. City Palace

City palace is where current king/ queen are currently staying. As we already explored the Udaipur city palace before which is far far better than this, so, we didn't like it. But over all its good. You can get good pictures here, and if you are lucky you can see the current king/ queen.

City palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa mahal , all are in 1 KM radius. that's why we mentioned above if you taking cab then you are just paying for the waiting time.

2. Jantar Mantar

Its beside the city palace only, its good for picture and you will love it if you interested in History.
You can get composite ticket here for the major forts and museum, check the details then only go for  composite one.

3. Hawa Mahal

Driver will try to show you this from outside only, but we will suggest if you went there then have a look of its beauty from inside as well.
A famous cafĂ© is there opposite to Hawa mahal, that we think got overrated because of view, So better avoid this.

4. Birla Mandir

If interested in Mandir then you are at correct place, you will find mandir everywhere. Birla Mandir is one of the famous mandir, you can go there in evening to enjoy lighting and City view.

5. Jal Mahal

Most of its part is inside the water, so no allowed to go there, yo can click picture from outside only.

6. Albert Hall and Museum

We loved its lighting in night, its museum only from outside it looks like palace and eve lighting is just awesome.

Day 2

1. Nahar Garh Fort

Nahargarh Fort of Jaipur also called the ‘Tiger Fort’ was built by Jai Singh II with the aim of providing a strong defence to the city.

Standing majestically on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, Nahargarh Fort is the best place to view the splendid beauty of the Pink City. The walls of the fort are extended over the hills to form fortifications that connect it to Fort Jaigarh.

The fort was basically used as a place of protection for the Europeans including the British wives of the region during the first war of Indian Independence in 1857. It was also the hunting residence of the Maharajas of Jaipur.

Though these are the major forts in Jaipur apart from that it also offers some amazing places to visit as a sightseeing option.

Some of the places to visit here are the Shila Mata temple, Jas Mandir and the splendid Sheesh Mahal. Brilliant paintings, stone and mirror works are exceptional here.

For Sheesh Mahal you need additional ticket that will cost you around 500 rupees.

The thick walls are of red sandstone which runs to about 3 kms.The architectural features are of Indo-Persian style. It is home to beautiful palaces with scenic landscape. The granaries, water reserves and storage systems are the finest examples of science and technology then.

Some of the best places to visit here are the Ram Harihar temple, Kal Bhairav temple, museum for arms and ammunitions of those days and the largest cannon named Jaivana.

Opening time: 9.30am

3. Amber/Amer Fort ( This we will say the best among all three forts of Jaipur)

Among the famous forts in Jaipur overlooking Maota Lake, stands the majestic Amber or Amer Fort , which was inhabited by the Rajput royals until Jaipur was established.
Perching up on the hill, this fort can be reached by a jeep ride or an elephant ride. It opens its doors to the perfect blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture which shows the grandeur of yesteryears with its elaborate mirror work.

One has to stay back till evening when the fort comes to life with its sound and light show which is impressive and enthralling.

Opening time : 9.30am
Closing time : 4.30pm
Photography allowed or not : Yes
Entry Fee & Photography charges : No

keep your phone and wallet safe inside the fort.

4. Parks and all

Some good parks are there, you can check the nearest ones if interested to spend some quality time with loved one with roadside snacks.

5. Khajana Mahal

Its Kind of Museum for precious stones, ticket will cost you Rs. 300 per person. You can avoid this

Two days will be enough but it will bit tight schedule, you can keep some for the 3rd day if you have time..

In night you can go for Candle light Dinner/ pub  or choki dhani
