For Jaisalmer, very limited trains available, check and plan accordingly.

By Road

above destinations are well connected by road with all the nearest cities, You can get the the public or Private transpiration service very easily.

Our suggestion will be try to travel in night, so that you can utilize maximum of your time with special ones in lands of palaces.

Our Itinerary

We had planned for  total 8 day, Reached Udaipur, then Pushkar and Ajmer then Jaisalmer and Finally ended with Jaipur and back to home.

We skipped Mt. Abu, Jodhpur, and Bikaner. Mt. Abu is kind of Overrated hill station, we have lot good option in south and North India. Jodhpur and Bikaner is good but due to time constraint we have given priority to other  cities.

Time we spend at each destinations

1. Udaipur (2 days)

2. Pushkar and Ajmer (for both 1 day)

3. Jaisalmer (2 days)

4. Jaipur (3days)

This is just high level details of our Itinerary, details of each cities we will share for each cities separately.

Overall Budget

Below is our expenses for the whole trip for 2 person, sharing this just to give you high level idea of expenses.

Depending on your food/ hotel choices your budget can vary, we had opted for mid range hotel and restaurants,

Activities

Our Expenses during the trip

Flight ticket

20000

Food

20000

25000

Cab/ Scooty for city tour

Prefer Scooty as it will be far cheaper than cab but consider the weather condition as well

For cab 1500/ day will be minimum depending on the distance they have to cover

Scooty will cost you around 400 to 600 per day excluding petrol

We spent around 12000 for scooty and cab

Tickets for palaces

2000

Total

86000

Next we will share our experience for each city separately with places to cover, what to avoid , budget etc..

Note: We had avoided long road trip for 200- 500KMs  and round trip to any of the cities, so we opted to start our trip from Udaipur then different cities by train. You can start with anyone as per convenience and transportation availability.
