December to March are best months to explore Thrissur. Vazhachal is around 5 KM from Athirapalli waterfall. You will need maximum 1 day to explore Waterfalls of Thrissur.

How to Reach Thrissur

By Air

Nearest Airport for both waterfall is  Kochi which is around 41-46 kms from Airport. From airport you can get cab to reach Athirapalli. Check your flight from your city. Most of the major cities are connected with Kochi. You can take trains from kochi to Chalkudi railway station.

By Train

Nearest railway station is Chalkudy, you can get the train from all the major cities. And From here you can either take public or private transport to reach Athirapalli.

By Road

From neighboring cities you can find the public transports for Athirapalli and Vazhachal .

Note: Public transport is not easily available from Athirapalli, So, check the timings for same. Or you can go for round trip Auto/Taxi

 Places to Visit

1. Athirapalli Waterfall: Athirapalli waterfall is a really pretty waterfall. you might have seen this waterfall in many movies like bahubali. There is a river view with tiny waterfalls also where one can enjoy bath.

Ticket- Same ticket is valid for both waterfalls. Ticket costs 50 per person and 30 Rs for light vehicle parking.

2. Vazhachal Waterfall: Vazhachal is also a good waterfall with beauty of nature. In way to the waterfall you will have a view of river and some small waterfalls.

3. Peechi Dam andPark: Its a Damn and park where hanging bridge, butter fly park and games are available. You can enjoy fish spa at reasonable price.
