This blog is continuation of our Rajasthan Blog, Here we will share our Udaipur experience with Places to explore in detail.
How to reach
The city of lakes one can reach by flight / train / bus from many places in India. It depends on from where you are traveling or what mode you like. We traveled from Bengaluru so we took direct flights to Udaipur.
Best to Visit
November to February is best time to visit. If you don't have much problem with summer season you can travel in October and March also. We visited in February so it was little bit cold in the morning/night and hot(28-32 Degree) in the day time.
What to pack
Some
light winter wears for morning and nights, casual/summer wears for the day. Sunglasses as mostly it will be sunny day. Many traditional
dresses are easily available there so if you are interested you can shop there too.
Note: Negotiate well with the shopkeepers, you can avail discounts.
Book your tickets and hotels, pack your bags.. and you are all set for the city of lakes.
Next
we will share you the places to explore, how much time will be enough,
food options and what to do and avoid during your trip
First thing First
Book your cab /auto/scooter to explore. We took scooter on rent as its best to travel in old city. In old city only auto you can take as roads are really narrow.
Below records are as per Feb 2023
Scooter will cost you 300-500 (depends on negotiation). Talk to your hotel reception they can arrange same at good price. We got at 850 for 2.5 days.
Otherwise you can take auto to travel around.
If
you enjoy bike ride and don't have much problem with heat waves, We
will suggest just go for Scooter. Auto will charge more for waiting time
than travelling..
